For the baseball and rodeo pictures, I was a sportswriter for a newspaper back home for my internship so I took photos at all of the events I went to. That's what got me into photography, before I was just a writer. For the pictures of the temple, those are only two of many that I have, I love running up to the temple when there is a cool sunset. I took the Flaming Gorge picture and the Palisades picture when I went home for Thanksgiving, the weather and light was perfect for both. For the picture of the Tetons, I've always just loved this view while driving to Victor, and I finally stopped at the scenic overview this summer and took pictures! Then the picture of the Spori was for a Scroll photo assignment, you'll see it in the spread this week, we were told to take night photos and so I took photos of the Spori building and I used a tripod, and a lot of the times I was taking the pictures while laying on my stomach haha.
With the Cutouts, I missed class on Friday and have no idea how to do them. I tried and looked at the examples but couldn't figure out how to do it, bummer.
Great job! You take beautiful landscapes and are able to freeze motion well. What type of camera do you use? I love your photo of the Spori at night. Night photography is something that I've never tried but am very interested in. Did you edit the sky at all? I like your second Rexburg Temple Sunset shot better than the first one. The lines in the sky seem to be leading you to look at the temple and there is less distraction from the ground. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAs a Kansas boy I must say that the picture that catch's my eye is the bronco riding. I feel you captured the picture very well. I believe 1/400 really worked well for that. To see the detail in the riders face is what makes the picture so appealing to me. The second picture I'm really impressed with is the night Spori picture. The picture looks simple but I'm sure it was hard to capture. good choice on the tripod and the eye to see the color scheme. Well done. -Jake Steel
