Birds of a Feather- Rexburg, ID, 1-14-11, f/5.6, 1/1,600I decided to do 2 pictures of the crabapples and 2 pictures of the sagebrush just because I liked more than just 1 of each haha. I was walking through campus and saw the crabapples still on the tree and had to take picture of them. Then with the sagebrush I went to R Mountain aka Menan Butte hoping to get a good sunset or panorama shot, but the sun didn't break through the clouds, but then I saw the orange lichen on the sagebrush and thought it was cool along with the snow. Then I saw the dead fish next to a river that I was trying to get a sunset reflection shot off of, I failed at getting the sunset shot but thought the dead fish, probably a carp, looked cool. Then I saw the ducks at the nature park a little while back and knew I had to get animal pictures. I like how it looks like they're huddled up, they broke away from a much larger group.
May I just say, your photography skills are quite excellent. All of your photos are interesting and enjoyable to look at. I would have to say that my favorite one is the fish. Really good shot with such good detail and emphasis. I also like the colors of that shot.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have been chasing the perfect sunset pano and the weather just did not cooperate! You did find some other great subjects though. I love how you took the time to take the reverse focus shots on the sagebrush. Nice yellow lichen! I too, love the old carp, but it would have also been good to get a little more lead room to the left of the carp nose. Your colors are rich and the detail is crisp. Nice composition on the berries and great shallow depth. Keep up the great work!
